David Davis Shock Shakes Up Next Tory Leader Odds

DAVID DAVIS 14/1 TO BE NEXT TORY LEADER - 12/1 TO REGAIN SHADOW HOME SEC POSITION

FOLLOWING HIS decision to resign and fight a by election, David Davis has been lengthened from 4/1 second favourite to 14/1 to become the next leader of the Conservative Party by William Hill who have shortened William Hague from 5/2 to 2/1 favourite and introduced the new Shadow Home Secretary, Dominic Grieve into their list at 14/1. 'It is difficult to see how David Davis could have done anything other than damage his prospects of becoming his Party's next leader by embarrassing them in this way' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
And Hills are now offering 12/1 that Mr Davis will regain the post of Shadow Home Secretary before the next General Election.
LATEST WILLIAM HILL NEXT TORY LEADER ODDS; 2/1 Hague; 7/1 Osborne; 8/1 Duncan; Fox; 12/1 Lansley; 14/1 Davis/Grieve/Herbert.
