Bookies Hail Moore The New ‘king Of Epsom’!

Champion Jockey Ryan Moore was today hailed the new ‘King of Epsom’ after an epic Classic double in the Oaks and Derby - guiding Workforce to track-record victory in the Derby.
Bookmakers William Hill reported the result as a ‘good one’ for them, and a ‘good one’ for punters.
William Hill took a strong stance on the race by offering a standout morning price of 3-1 about hot favourite Jan Vermeer.
David Hood, spokesman for William Hill, said: ‘’we took everybody’s money with our 3-1 on Jan Vermeer this morning, but we were able to be brave as we were laying plenty of others in the race, amongst them, Workforce. The combination of Sir Michael Stoute, and Ryan Moore was always going to attract good support.’’
William Hill now makes Workforce their 6-1 joint-favourite for the Autumn’s Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe, where he joins yesterday’s Coronation Cup winner Fame and Glory at the head of the betting.
Prix de L’Arc de Triomphe: 6-1 Fame And Glory, 8-1 Jan Vermeer, 10-1 St Nicholas Abbey, 14-1 Dar Re Mi, Sariska, 20-1 Bekhabad, Cavalryman, 25-1 Cutlass Bay, Daryakana, Youmzain, 33-1 Rewilding, 40-1 Anna Salai (EW 1/4 1, 2, 3)
