Tessa Backed To Go....lib-dem Race Final Furlong

TESSA BACKED TO GO!.........Bookmakers William Hill have shortened the price of Tessa Jowell losing her position as Culture Secretary by April 1, 2006 from 9/4 to 7/4 following significant support and she is now offered at 2/5 from 1/3 to still to be in office on that date.
LIB-DEM RACE FINAL FURLONG.......As the Lib Dem Leadership race reaches its climax, bookies William Hill make Chris Huhne their narrow favourite at 8/11, with Sir Menzies Campbell making a late surge to become Even money second favourite, while Simon Hughes is now trailing the field as 14/1 outsider.
'It has been an interesting race with each of the runners having been favourite at one time or another but the money suggests that Huhne will pip Menzies at the post', said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
Whatever the result, Hill's odds suggest that the new leader will be up against it at the next General Election and offer 66/1 for the Lib Dems to get most seats, with Labour offered at 4/6 and the Conservative Party priced at 11/10.
