Poll Boost For Labour General Election Hopes

POLL BOOST FOR LABOUR GENERAL ELECTION HOPES.......Bookmakers William Hill have shortened their odds about Labour being the largest single Party after the next General Election from 5/4 to 6/5, and lengthened the Conservatives from 4/7 to 8/13. 'Punters seem to think that the Tories didn't do as well as they might have done if they were set to sweep to power in the General Election, while Labour didn't perform as disastrously as they might have feared, so we have seen a few people nibbling at Labour's odds and have trimmed their price accordingly' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
**William Hill have closed their book on who will emerge as Scotland's First Minister with Alex Salmond 4/7 favourite and Jack McConnell 6/4. 'It looks too close to call at the moment with behind the scenes wheeling and dealing - to which we will not be privy - almost certain to influence the final outcome' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
